I’m digging this record a lot. It’s quite different from your average Hip Hop instrumental LP in the way Hubert constructs his beats here. His beats range from mellow Jazz grooves with light airy keys, to rhythmic Bossa and Latin styles driven by light drumming, horns, and heavy bass tones. You get some boom bap thrown in there as well like on a track called “Joi”. This album is a mature journey into sound that is best served chilled. Highly recommended.
