Man I’ve been really busy lately with work and everything else so I haven’t had time to put up this new record from Dragon Fli Empire I got in the mail last week! Travellor Records out of Finland hooked me up with a few copies for our shop and I’m definitely thankful for that! I mean how can you go wrong with Ohmega Watts and Raashan Ahmad rhyming on the same record. I don’t think it’s possible. The title cut, “Ride On” featuring Raashan is a B-Boy’s dream dropping the deep funk beats laced with organ, horns, and a vocal sample chanting Ride On! I like that one a lot. Other flavors on this record include the danceably smooth, “Floor To The Roof” feat. Velben, the mellow cut, “To The Sky” featuring Ohmega Watts-perfect to bump in for your floss ride when you’re riding with your B-Girl, and “Paradise” with Moka Only is a smoothed out conscious Hip Hop tune.
